Monday Mutant 116: Seek and Spell / Crowd Nine

In this Seek and Spell puzzle, every row, every column, and every outlined box consisting of nine cells each must contain every letter in FLINCH MAG exactly once (as in a Crowd Nine puzzle, but with letters). The rules are otherwise unchanged.
This puzzle honors Minfang Lin from China, the winner of my recent BoardGameGeek contest giving away cards from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, plus a custom puzzle for the winner. Even though Minfang Lin chose not to accept the cards, the other half of the prize remains.

Monday Mutant 98: Seek and Spell (POP/PA)

In this Seek and Spell puzzle, the trigram POP or the bigram PA can be treated as a single letter, and entered as such in a single space. (For example, PAHOEHOE can be entered in eight spaces as P-A-H-O-E-H-O-E, or in seven spaces as PA-H-O-E-H-O-E.) The rules are otherwise unchanged.
My father's birthday is tomorrow, on October 4. I mention this for no reason at all.

In this Seek and Spell puzzle, before being entered in the grid, a word may have the trigram ONE replaced with the letter I, or the trigram TEN replaced with the letter X. (For example, CALZONE can be entered as CALZONE or as CALZI, and STENCH can be entered as STENCH or as SXCH.) The rules are otherwise unchanged.
While this has nothing to do with the Monday Mutant above, I recently had a strip published on Square Root of Minus Garfield. Check it out!

Puzzle 445: Seek and Spell 10

I was one of the 1% of American children who wasn't at all wild about Pokémon when it made its American debut in 1998. However, years later, I discovered Pokémon Puzzle League, a remake of the Super Nintendo game Tetris Attack, of which I was (and still am) a big fan. Merely expecting to tolerate the theme, I somehow ended up falling in love with the Pokémon franchise. Now I'm making puzzles like this one, and the one below. Wow.

This puzzle's construction was greatly assisted by Bulbapedia.

Puzzle 396: Seek and Spell 9

This puzzle, like the so-called "ring" in which the sport of boxing takes place, is a square. Formerly, groups of fighters would travel around to challenge local men, using a ring of rope to demarcate the site of the fight; even when the modern square "ring" became standard, the name stuck. This is also the source of the phrase "to throw one's hat in the ring", a phrase now more associated with politics, because that was literally how one would challenge the boxers at the time.
